crib mattress suggestions?

Anyone have good suggestions for a crib mattress? BRU doesn't have a great selection. Coil or foam, I'm not really partial one way or the other. As long as it's firm enough, I'm good. But I'm tired of comparing brands. Someone just tell me what's worked well for them....please?

  1. We got ours as a hand me down, I'm not even sure of the brand. But kids are so light and use the crib mattress for only 2-4 years, I don't think it matters much what kind you use. (Our mattress is on it's 4th kid and it feels brand new.)

Perhaps don't go with the cheapest, but any mid-range quality should work fine.

  3. I've heard great things about Naturepedic crib mattresses. They're comfortable, made with organic cotton, have been tested by GREENGUARD to make sure they don't emit any toxic fumes, and they don't contain any materials that might cause allergies or sensitivities. They come with waterproofing, or not. They're a reasonable price compared to other organic mattresses, and you can get them with a firm side for an infant and a softer side for a toddler. So you save money by not having to buy another mattress as your baby gets older. Check them out. You can find them at www.naturepedic.com. They're also available at Target and BRU (although with both you buy them online, not in the stores), and several other locations.
